Babywearing – or carrying your baby close to you in a sling or carrier – is an ancient practice and one that is still in place in many traditional societies. Though less used in Western cultures, its popularity is growing, and there is increasing evidence of the emotional and physical benefits of babywearing to infants, their parents – and society as a whole.
